Our mission is to provide a quality an accredited education through excellent in person instruction for teens in small groups. Providing a safe space for students to grow and learn together is the foundation for the adventure in education we will be embarking on. Self care, personal responsibility, emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity are undertones of the program. Additionally, the Spanish program aims to empower children to connect with and respect the local people and their culture by learning the language of our host country and its history through project based learning.

Mackenzie is a long time resident of Nosara. Originally from BC, Canada this quirky surfer woman studied Anthropology in Vancouver before leaving to study French and later Spanish abroad. Since landing in Nosara in 2016 she has offered a variety of educational experiences for children such as yoga, surfing, language courses and finally small group homeschool style grade school pods. Her passions include surfing, fútbol, painting, language, celebrating diversity, social justice, and community. She is well connected in the community and has an excellent team of teachers supporting her vision.
Learning the language of our host country is a must. The Spanish program is divided into two levels each following its own grammar study and literature investigation.
Students in both groups will also study Latin American history and literature. Costa Rican authors and history will be highlighted.
